Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month: Event Recap & How to Get Involved with STRIVE!

In celebration of  Hispanic Heritage Month, we want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible events that highlighted the history, cultures, and achievements of the Hispanic and Latinx communities within and beyond our organization.

Event Highlights:

Virtual Panel: Intersectionality of Latina Women in Corporate America:
This insightful panel featured Martha GellerNina Corteilla, and Jelenny Baez, three leaders at TransPerfect, who discussed the unique challenges and strengths of being Latina women in the corporate world. They explored topics such as navigating cultural identity at work, breaking through barriers, and the power of mentorship in advancing Latinx women. Their stories offered a source of inspiration for others looking to overcome similar hurdles in their professional journeys. (Please assist with wording)
If you missed the live event, the recording is available [here]. - Need to post to GL TV ( Link to be shared after posted)

Frames Bowling Night:
We hosted a lively in-person event at Frames Bowling Alley, where participants enjoyed fun, food, and drinks while engaging in insightful conversations with Lina Cruz and Andres Gonzales from New York City Football Club (NYCFC). They shared their personal experiences as Hispanic leaders in the sports world, discussing how they’ve navigated challenges and celebrated victories. This session gave us a glimpse into their journeys, offering valuable lessons in resilience, leadership, and the importance of cultural representation in sports.
