Girls Who Code
MISSION
Girls Who Code is an international non-profit organization working to close the gender gap in technology and change the image of what a programmer looks like and does. With their 7-week Summer Immersion Program, a 2-week specialized Campus Program, after school Clubs, College Loops program and New York Times best-selling series, they are leading the movement to inspire, educate, and equip young women with the computing skills to pursue 21st century opportunities. Girls Who Code has reached over 90,000 girls in all 50 states and several US territories.

TransPerfect has donated over $250,000 to Girls Who Code, as an investment to close the gender gap in technology careers.

Toys for Tots Foundation
MISSION
The objectives of Toys for Tots are to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas, to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children, to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign, and to contribute to better communities in the future.
TransPerfect’s Commitment
In December, TransPerfect offices across the US collect money from employees to buy toys for underprivileged children. Each office selects a shopping day and heads to a local toy supplier to purchase the toys together. In 2024, TransPerfect raised $33,000 and with a 100% company match, was able to purchase $66,000 worth of toys for children in need.

MISSION
The American Cancer Society is the nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy, and service. No matter who you are, we can help.
TransPerfect’s Commitment
TransPerfect participates in the Making Strides Walk each year to raise money for cancer research. In addition to participating in the walk as a team, the company matches all donations made to the team’s fundraising goal.

American Heart Association/Go Red for Women
MISSION
Go Red For Women encourages awareness of women and heart disease and action to save more lives. The movement harnesses the energy, passion, and power women have to band together and collectively wipe out heart disease. It challenges them to know their risk for heart disease and take action to reduce personal risk. It also provides the tools they need to lead a heart-healthy life.
In 2010, the AHA set a strategic goal of reducing death and disability from cardiovascular disease and strokes by 20 percent while improving the cardiovascular health of all Americans by 20 percent by the year 2020.
TransPerfect’s Commitment
TransPerfect is committed to promoting heart health and making sure our employees are taking the necessary steps to protect themselves against heart disease. Throughout the year, TransPerfect sponsors several activations to provide access to healthcare professionals and information on healthy life choices for our employees. The company also fundraises for this cause and matches all company donations made each February for National Wear Red Day.

Associació de Familiars i Amics de Nens Oncològics de Catalunya
MISSION
AFANOC is a charitable organization dedicated to supporting families of children with cancer and other chronic illnesses. They also provide integral psychosocial care and playful educational and therapeutic activities for these children and their families.
In 2011, AFANOC built ‘The House of Xuklis’. Since then, they have been able to offer accommodation to families who need to relocate in order to receive treatment at the main reference hospitals in Barcelona. The ‘Xuklis’ were conceived as imaginary characters who banish negative energy, working tirelessly to help children and their families overcome the obstacles of illness.

Barcelona TransPerfect employees friends and families are committing to help AFANOC.
Through the TransPerfect Mountain Challenge they will be fundraising to make the house of Xuklis even more of a home from home for the families and kids staying there. All money raised will go towards new boilers, new flooring, internet connection for all the apartments and much more.
BARNABY WASS, Vice President: “When he was 18 months old, my son Leon was diagnosed with leukemia and we received amazing support from a small non-profit that helps families of children with cancer: AFANOC. The invasive treatments needed to fight cancer mean that you are living in and around the hospital for many weeks. Throughout this time, the family’s day-to-day tasks continue alongside the treatment and can add to the struggle – having a decent meal, being able to shower, organizing supervision for the children when both parents visit the doctor – something as commonplace as a playroom for the kids to help beat the boredom is a real blessing. AFANOC provide fridges, lockers, game rooms and volunteers, as well as housing for families of patients from out-of-town. They are a small organization, but trust me they make a big difference. AFANOC was there for us during the tough times, and now that Leon has recovered we feel it is our time to give back. YOU can make a real difference: sign up and get your family, colleagues and friends to join us! All you have to do is raise 200 EUR. 100% of the money raised will go to the charity.”
The TransPerfect Mountain Challenge Benefiting AFANOC
Barcelona TransPerfect employees, friends and families will be taking part in a Mountain Challenge with the goal to raise €50,000 and to have at least 250 people participating. The event will feature an orienteering race with three different levels and one trail marathon, in partnership with a local Barcelona children’s cancer organization. All proceeds from the event will go directly to AFANOC (Associació de Familiars i Amics de Nens Oncològics de Catalunya).

MISSION
Wanawake kwa Wanawake (WkW), which translates to Women for Women, is a women-led community center in Nairobi, Kenya. The organizations mission is Hope through Education—providing school and university sponsorships for children, and practical skills training for women that leads to employment, independence, and safety. Every program is built with the community, for the community, supporting women and families to break free from the cycle of poverty.

Bottom Line
MISSION
Since 1997, Bottom Line has addressed the low college graduation rates of first-generation students from low-income backgrounds. The organization was founded on the belief that students need a mentor and a guide during the college application process and throughout college to succeed. By providing consistent one-on-one support, Bottom Line has helped thousands of first-generation students from low-income backgrounds stay in college and complete their degrees.
TransPerfect’s Commitment
Since 2016, TransPerfect has volunteered with Bottom Line to provide career resources to their students through career fair and internship opportunities.
The V Foundation for Cancer Research
MISSION
The V Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to saving lives by helping to find a cure for cancer. The V Foundation seeks to make a difference by generating broad-based support for cancer research and by creating an urgent awareness among all Americans of the importance of the war against cancer. The V Foundation performs these dual roles through advocacy, education, fundraising and philanthropy.
TransPerfect’s Commitment
TransPerfect is committed to knocking out cancer through supporting the V Foundation and its initiatives. Each year, we host a fundraiser selling TransPerfect athletic shirts to employees. Total proceeds go directly to the V Foundation, and all employees who purchase a shirt are encouraged to be a part of the company video showing our support for the cause.
The TransPerfect Victory Lap Benefitting the V Foundation
TransPerfect’s headline philanthropy event for 2018 was the Victory Lap 5K on August 18, 2018 in Manhattan’s Riverside Park. The event featured a race through the scenic waterfront park on the Upper West Side, a silent auction, and a post-race celebration with food, beverages, and live music.
The TransPerfect family is spread across 100+ global cities. But more unique than the cities are the people within them.
Since 2015, TransPerfect employees have raised more than $800,000 for the V Foundation for Cancer Research. Every single employee in this 2019 video has been a part of that effort.
